The successful candidate will be:

  • Passionate about working with children in a play environment
  • Reliable, flexible and hard-working
  • Experienced in leading and developing a team of staff 
  • Confident in building relationships with parents, carers and school staff 
  • Someone with strong organisational, planning and communication skills
  • Competent in all safeguarding practices

Applicants should have the following qualifications/skills/experience:

  • At least 5 years recent experience working with children aged 3-11, preferably in an out of school, nursery or school setting
  • At least 2 years childcare management experience ideally as a manager or strong deputy manager
  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years/childcare or higher
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage 
  • Good ICT skills
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs 

This position is for a total of 20 hours each week, Monday to Friday during term time and 25 hours Monday to Friday during holiday care periods (9 weeks). Hours of work in after school care are 2pm-6pm. During holiday care you must be available to work shifts between 8.30am-6pm. Annual leave entitlement is 5.6 weeks, pro rata. Place of work is St Pauls CE Primary School. 

Rate of pay is £14.50 per hour.
